Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: Jun 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of snoutcraft.com (the “Site”) and any orders you place with SnoutCraft (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.

1. Who we are

SnoutCraft sells custom, artist-directed pet portrait framed prints (250 gsm matte fine-art paper, solid pine frame), fulfilled through a regional print network. Our registered business details, registered office address, and contact information are set out in our Legal Notice.

For all customer enquiries: hi@snoutcraft.com

2. The service

Each SnoutCraft portrait is created from a photograph you supply through an artist-directed, technology-assisted process — which includes AI image-generation tools — and is reviewed by our team before we send your preview, with a final quality check before it ships. Customers select from ten signature art styles, three sizes, and four frame colours. A 24-hour preview (12 hours for memorial orders) is provided before any printing begins. You may request unlimited revisions until you are satisfied. Once you click Approve, your portrait enters production.

3. Eligibility to order

To place an order you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian. By placing an order you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We acknowledge your order and send you a preview for approval. We accept your offer — and a binding contract forms — when you click Approve on the preview, at which point your portrait enters production.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorised payment
  • Submitted reference photos that contain content we are unable to fulfil (see Section 8)
  • Pricing or availability errors caused by technical issues
  • Orders to addresses we cannot ship to

If we cancel an order, we will refund any payment in full to your original payment method.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in your local currency where supported, and otherwise in pounds sterling (GBP). The currency and amount payable are those displayed at checkout. Pricing as published on the Site is binding for any order accepted by us. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes do not apply to orders already placed.

Payment is processed via Shopify Payments and accepted via the methods displayed at checkout. You authorise us to charge the full amount of your order at the time of order placement.

6. Photo upload — your rights and ours

When you upload a reference photograph to the Site, you confirm that you own the photograph or have the right to use it for this purpose, and you grant SnoutCraft a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

  • Process the photograph through our AI pipeline
  • Generate, store, and deliver the resulting portrait to you
  • Retain a copy of the photograph and final portrait for the purpose of order fulfilment, customer support, and (in fully anonymised form only) internal model performance evaluation

We will not use your photograph or your pet’s likeness for marketing, advertising, third-party sale, training of public AI models, or any other purpose without your separate written consent.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the original photograph you upload. The final portrait we deliver to you is licensed to you for personal use, including display in your home, gifting, and personal social media sharing. Commercial resale of the portrait artwork itself (for example, reselling prints to third parties) is not permitted without our prior written consent.

The Site, brand name, logo, written content, and underlying generation pipeline are the intellectual property of SnoutCraft and are protected by UK and international copyright and trademark law.

8. Acceptable use of the photo upload feature

You may not submit reference photographs that:

  • Contain people other than yourself without their consent
  • Contain images of children that are not your own without parental consent
  • Contain depictions of violence, sexual content, hate speech, or any unlawful content
  • Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
  • Are intended to generate likenesses of public figures, celebrities, or fictional characters under copyright

We reserve the right to refuse to fulfil any order where the submitted photograph falls within these categories, and to cancel and refund such orders.

9. Delivery and risk

Risk in your portrait passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. Title in the portrait passes to you when full payment has been received and your portrait has been dispatched. Delivery timelines are set out in our Shipping Policy.

10. Refunds and replacements

Our refund position, including the pre-approval / post-approval distinction, is set out in full in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

11. Limitation of liability

We will perform the service with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order to which the claim relates.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses (including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of expected savings).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

12. Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access or interfere with our systems, infrastructure, or other users’ accounts
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, etc.) to access the Site beyond standard search engine crawling, except where permitted by our robots.txt file
  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of Site content without our written permission

13. Privacy and cookies

How we collect and process your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

14. Third-party links

The Site may link to external websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external sites.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers where reasonably practicable.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you are a consumer ordinarily resident in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case the courts of your part of the United Kingdom may also have jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any clause of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in full force.
