How AI Pet Portraits Work
SnoutCraft uses an artist-directed, technology-assisted creative workflow with human review. Technology helps the team develop a composition from the supplied photograph and selected style; a person reviews the likeness and presentation before the customer receives a preview.
What happens after you order?
- Photo and choices: Upload one clear, well-lit photograph showing one pet, then choose the available size and frame colour.
- Creation and review: The team prepares the artwork and checks the pet's face, eyes, coat markings and overall composition against the reference photograph.
- Preview: A standard preview is sent within 24 hours after purchase, or within 12 hours for a memorial portrait.
- Changes or cancellation: You may request unlimited revisions at no extra charge, or cancel for a full refund, before approving the artwork.
- Print: Production begins only after explicit approval.
Why is human review important?
Technology-assisted tools can interpret a photograph in different ways. Human review checks the result against the supplied reference and selected visual direction before the preview is sent. The finished product is a framed print, not a hand-painted original.
What physical product is supplied?
The approved artwork is printed on 250 gsm museum-quality matte paper, set in a pine frame, protected by shatterproof plexiglass and supplied with a hanging kit.
What digital artwork is included?
Each physical order includes a complimentary PNG or JPG digital artwork for personal use, emailed after physical delivery. Its resolution is approximately 4K: the average of its width and height is about 4,000 pixels, and exact dimensions vary by artwork.
What makes a useful reference photo?
Use a clear, well-lit image where the pet's face, eyes and distinctive markings are visible. If the photograph is not suitable, SnoutCraft will contact you before creating the preview.
How are uploaded photos handled?
Uploaded photos and final artwork are retained for 180 days after the order is complete and are handled by SnoutCraft and necessary service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
